International visitors must present a valid passport. _________________________________________________________________________ Join the U.S. Agency for Global Media for our annual David Burke Distinguished Journalism Awards ceremony.  The award recognizes the courage, integrity, and professionalism of journalists from each of USAGM's networks.  18th ANNUAL AWARD RECIPIENTS Voice of America (VOA) – Fahem Omer (Zana Omar), VOA Kurdish Service Qamishli-based reporter, for demonstrating consistent bravery and journalistic integrity in his ongoing coverage of the war in Syria and other geo-political stories in the region. Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) – Radio Free Afghanistan (Radio Azadi) for suffering one of the worst attacks on journalists in Afghanistan, with multiple journalists killed in a targeted suicide bombing in Kabul on April 30, 2018. Office of Cuba Broadcasting (OCB) – Joe Cardona for his groundbreaking program Arcoiris (Rainbow) providing the LGBT community in Cuba a voice to express their goals and concerns and connect them with the Cuban-American and LGBT communities in the U.S. and the world. Radio Free Asia (RFA) – Uyghur Service for its news-breaking reporting on the implementation of a vast, high-tech security state in China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR) and mass arbitrary detentions sweeping up the mostly Muslim Uyghur population and other ethnic groups in the region. Middle East Broadcasting Networks (MBN) – Creative Services Team for their innovative, resourceful and impactful efforts toward the successful relaunch of Alhurra Television.
